Sharpening your knives...
Well, I was trying to cut up some chicken last weekend and my knife was so so so blunt! And so, I remember what my mum taught me on how to sharpen knifes the fast way... or should I say the lazy way?
Instead of using the sharpening stone to sharpen my knife, just use a ceramic bowl. Yes! Ceramic bowls can be used to sharpen knifes!
And that was what I did. Turn the bowl upside down. There should be a ring like base so that the bowl will stand. Just sharpen your knife against the edge of this ring. And voila! Your knife is sharp again. But this way, your knife is only sharp for you to maybe finish up whatever task you are doing at that time. When you have time, you should really use the sharpening stone to sharpen your knife the proper way.
